The role
Drafts decisions, entries, and orders stemming from pleadings, trials, motions, and objections for Judge Monica Hawkins.
Conducts legal research on case law and statutes to support current domestic relations and juvenile matters.
Tracks pleadings and service of parties and serves as a liaison between the Judge, court personnel, local bar, and pro se litigants.
Manages the docket and coordinates with the bailiff and secretary to ensure timely electronic submission of documents.
Reviews transcripts, exhibits, and court records to brief the Judge before trials, motions, and objections; explains Civil Protection Order processes to pro se litigants.
Serves as the Judge's personal staff, supervising legal interns and assisting with status conferences and inter-state jurisdictional issues.
