The role
Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation for limited English proficient (LEP) patients and families in a medical setting.
Perform sight translations of relevant materials to improve understanding of procedures, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
Translate hospital documents from English into Spanish as assigned by supervisor, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interpreting across diverse clinical encounters.
Support patient education by clarifying medical information and facilitating informed decision-making.
Meet interpreter standards, including successful completion of required tests (IST) and any applicable certification.
