The role
Position: Spanish Interpreter - PRN, on-site in Dallas, TX.
Provide accurate medical interpretation between Spanish-speaking patients/families and healthcare staff in consecutive or simultaneous modes.
Follow National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Health Care and department standards; assist with patient consent and cultural considerations.
Maintain and update encounter details in the Language Access Services EPIC scheduling system.
Requirements include at least 1 year of interpretation experience or a bachelor's degree in Interpretation/Translation, with 40+ hours of healthcare, community or legal interpreter training preferred.
Certifications: CCHI or NBCMI; candidates must complete a phone screening and a skills assessment to demonstrate proficiency in medical-level interpretation; on-call opportunities.
