The role
Develops and oversees the District's safety and environmental compliance programs, including occupational safety, environmental protection, and pest control coordination.
Provides technical guidance, conducts regulatory research, analyzes new laws, and supports personnel to ensure compliance across operations.
Directs aquatic, plant, and animal pest control activities, maintains required permits, and represents the program with regulatory agencies as needed.
Plans safety training, conducts inspections, enforces PPE and engineering controls, and issues stop-work orders when unsafe conditions are observed.
Investigates incidents, identifies root causes, recommends preventive measures, and maintains documentation for regulatory reporting.
Manages budgets, coordinates hazardous materials storage and disposal, interacts with stakeholders, and promotes continuous safety improvements.
