The role
Lead and/or assist in structuring and drafting a broad range of complex scripted TV agreements, including acquisitions, above-the-line talent deals, and production services.
Negotiate domestic and international co-productions, financing, and distribution/licensing agreements for studio-produced content.
Provide timely, practical legal advice to Development, Production, and Finance teams on rights, chain-of-title, IP, clearances, and guild/union compliance (WGA, DGA, SAG-AFTRA).
Develop and implement best practices, forms, and policies to increase efficiency and ensure high standards of legal compliance across operations.
Manage rights management, IP strategy, and clearance coordination with internal teams and outside counsel; handle risk assessment and creative resolutions.
Prioritize and manage a high volume of deals across multiple business units while meeting critical deadlines and business objectives.
