The role
As a Mechanical Engineer – Industrial/Manufacturing Expert, you will investigate incidents involving equipment, safety procedures, material handling, hand tools, and plant layouts. You will assess inadequacies in machine guarding, instructions, warnings, and PPE, applying your broad standards knowledge. You will write clear, scientifically sound reports and provide expert testimony when required. You will analyze the 'why' behind incidents, critically evaluating decision-making, operating procedures, and the standard of care. This role leverages your design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience across a range of industrial equipment and processes. The position requires up to 20% travel and on-site work in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Irving, TX area.
