The role
The Transportation Coordinator manages inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with guidelines.
Schedule and monitor daily inbound shipments; manage dock operations, verify documents, assign dock doors, uphold safety, and maintain yard reports and driver logs.
Track inbound and outbound cartons using tracking tools and coordinate with warehouse operations to rapidly address issues.
Maintain outbound pickup schedules and adjust as needed; initiate investigations for service failures or shipment discrepancies.
Maintain organized shipping records, delivery confirmations, and logs; communicate clearly with internal and external partners via phone, email, and in person.
Support additional duties as needed; require a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in distribution/logistics; proficient in MS Office and familiar with WMS/TMS; strong organization and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
