The role
The procurement specialist manages strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships within a regulated manufacturing environment. They lead cross-functional procurement projects, develop sourcing plans for electronic components, and monitor supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs. The role involves identifying supply chain risks, developing contingency strategies, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure supply assurance and project success. Candidates need at least five years' experience in procurement or supplier management, with a background in electronics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP and SAP Ariba, plus strong stakeholder management skills, are essential. Hybrid working arrangements are available with attendance required at the Cambridge site 2-3 days per week.
