The role

Provide on-campus sign language interpretation services to deaf/hard-of-hearing students aged 3-21 at university laboratory schools.
Placement at Thomas Metcalf School or University High School varies by student need.
Part-time, up to 28 hours per week, typically 8:00am–3:00pm, with potential after-school or weekend hours for extracurriculars.
Requires high school diploma or GED and a valid ISBE sign language interpreter approval (including interim).
Must communicate effectively on a daily basis and, at the elementary level, may demonstrate basic physical education activities.
Flexible, dependable, able to transition quickly between classrooms; on-campus employment.
