The role
An investment banking analyst plays a vital role in executing transactions, conducting financial analysis, and supporting senior bankers in client advisory services. The role involves assisting in M&A activities, performing financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence, as well as preparing presentation materials and transaction documentation. Analysts are expected to research industry and company trends and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth deal processes. Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or related fields, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. A background from M&A teams within Big 4 firms, boutique, or mid-market banks, with a relevant qualification such as ACA, is desirable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
