The role
This role provides remote OPI and VRI interpretation for medical, emergency (911), intervention, and social services calls in California.
Deliver accurate, confidential interpretation with strict adherence to ethics, confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional standards.
Maintain neutrality and cultural competence to facilitate clear communication between LEP individuals and service providers.
Follow client-specific guidelines, terminology, and protocols across medical and public service settings.
Work as a freelance contractor with flexible hours; some on-site work is required to obtain a live scan at a California office.
Requires strong English plus another language, high-speed internet, a quiet workspace, reliability, and the ability to perform under pressure.
