Journalist

Full Fact is recruiting a journalist to focus on online misinformation and fact checking, working within a team of four on a fixed-term contract. The role involves monitoring social media and online claims, researching, writing fact checks, and engaging with other teams to further the charity’s mission. Candidates should have some journalism experience, strong research and writing skills, and an understanding of UK public debate, social media, and digital channels. Technical skills such as online verification techniques are preferred but not essential. The position requires political impartiality, sensitivity to UK political contexts, and the ability to respond quickly to breaking news with accurate and engaging content.
