The role
The assistant psychologist assists the qualified clinical team in delivering high-quality psychological assessments and low-intensity interventions in inpatient services for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. The role involves observing behaviours, co-facilitating therapeutic groups, and supporting behavioural support planning within a multidisciplinary team setting. Candidates are expected to have a relevant psychology degree and experience working with diverse communities in mental health, learning disability, or autism services. The post requires independent working skills, data collection, and analysis for service audits and research projects. The role offers training opportunities, supervision, and collaboration with psychological and clinical professionals in a dynamic team environment. The position is full-time and based at Brooklands Hospital in Marston Green.
