The role
A Food Safety Auditor conducts technical audits for UK retailers, focusing on compliance, risk identification, and report compilation. The role involves travelling within the UK, Ireland, and internationally, including long haul trips, to assess food safety standards across various sites. Candidates should possess a Food Science degree or equivalent experience, with at least ten years in the food industry, including factory audits and technical management. Certification as a Lead Auditor and knowledge of HACCP are essential, along with a valid UK passport and driving licence for travel. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a salary range dependent on experience, supplemented by a car allowance. The role requires strong organisational skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities to support standards reviews and customer engagement.
