The role

The Food Safety Auditor is responsible for conducting technical audits within the UK, Ireland, and overseas, ensuring adherence to food safety standards for retail clients. They will work closely with senior site personnel to carry out assessments against various categories and standards, including M&S compliance and HACCP. The role involves preparing detailed audit reports, identifying risks, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food legislation and technical developments. Candidates should have a food science or similar degree, extensive industry experience, and certification as a Lead Auditor. The position involves travel both domestically and internationally, requires a full UK driver’s licence, and offers a salary between £39,000 and £52,000. Daily tasks include supporting standards reviews, benchmarking, and customer engagement, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
