A Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server environments, supporting database security, access management, and backup and recovery processes. They deliver improvements, upgrades, and migration projects, while supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions. The role involves participation in on-call support and major incident management to ensure database stability. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience with MS SQL Server in complex enterprise environments, along with expertise in performance tuning, security, and cloud integration, especially Azure SQL. Proficiency in SQL scripting, PowerShell, and ITIL service management best practices is essential for success in this position.
