A Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer in Cardiff designs, builds, and maintains secure and scalable cloud infrastructures on AWS. They lead by example through hands-on engineering while providing technical guidance and standards across the DevOps community. The role involves shaping highly available architectures, influencing tooling, automation, and operational excellence initiatives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Security, SRE, and platform delivery, they promote secure-by-design architectures and best practices in automation and reliability. They require extensive AWS knowledge, experience with Infrastructure as Code, and scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. The position demands technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support and mentor engineering teams.
