Junior Campus Cook – Reading

The University of Reading is recruiting a Junior Cook to join a team working with the Aspiring Chef group to develop core kitchen skills and facilitate future progression. The role entails preparing fresh, from-scratch meals across multiple kitchens, following established recipes, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality. Candidates should have an interest in cooking and possess good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. A knowledge of seasonal ingredients and nutrition is desirable for this role. The position offers opportunities for skill development within a dynamic culinary environment. Interviews are scheduled during the week commencing 1 September 2026 at the Whiteknights Campus, with applicants advised to bring knives if requested.
