A geo‑environmental engineer responsibilities include managing phase I and II ground investigations, preparing technical reports, conducting site investigations, and soil logging in accordance with UK standards. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or related fields, with some experience in geo‑environmental work, and be working towards professional chartered status. The role requires strong understanding of geology, ground investigation, contaminated land, and geotechnics, along with basic knowledge of planning legislation. Experience in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment and effective resource management are essential. Proficiency in technical reporting, site supervision, and a valid UK driving licence are also required. The position involves technical skills, environmental monitoring, and report writing in a dynamic team setting.
