An experienced database administrator is sought to oversee PostgreSQL, Greenplum, and Snowflake databases, including tasks such as administration, performance tuning, and backup and recovery. The role involves designing and managing data structures, building data ingestion pipelines, and supporting cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Candidates should have expertise in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Ansible, and experience with automation, security, and compliance. Additional responsibilities include implementing monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimising database performance, with on-call duties over weekends. The position offers a hybrid working model in Glasgow, with a focus on maintaining high standards of database security and efficiency.
