Le poste
Lead the corporate accounting function within a large local authority, ensuring robust financial governance and accurate reporting.
Oversee the production of statutory accounts and the annual budget, aligning with the organisation's Medium Term Financial Plan.
Direct treasury management and financing activities, and manage capital accounting processes including the capital strategy.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, driving performance, motivation and continuous improvement of financial controls.
Design, implement and maintain accounting control systems and robust financial reporting processes.
Required professional qualification (CIPFA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in a large, complex organisation.
