The Principal AI Engineer leads the strategy, design, and implementation of AI and ML solutions, managing a team of IT professionals and external service providers. They oversee the full lifecycle of AI solutions including model development, validation, deployment, and integration, ensuring best practices and scalable architecture. The role requires expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and software development, with proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or C-Sharp, and experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP is essential, along with experience in managing large, dispersed teams and aligning technical strategies with business goals. The candidate must possess strong stakeholder engagement, business acumen, and leadership skills to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
