SQL Server Database Administrator

A SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for daily management and operation of database systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. They conduct database tuning and optimisation to meet SLAs, plan and carry out preventative maintenance, and remediate vulnerabilities in MSSQL environments. The role involves providing out-of-hours support, maintaining technical documentation, and enforcing data governance policies to secure data confidentiality and integrity. The candidate should have experience in supporting MSSQL, working independently and within teams, and managing physical and virtual environments. Knowledge of Powershell and holding SC Clearance are desirable qualifications for this position. The role requires working on-site in Manchester with no remote work options.
