An Oracle/SQL Database Administrator is needed to support databases within a highly regulated environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of services. The role involves monitoring, tuning, and maintaining Oracle and SQL Server databases, managing incidents, troubleshooting, and performing backups, restores, and updates. Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as AlwaysOn, Data Guard, or RAC is required, along with technical knowledge of performance tuning and security practices. Candidates should possess active SC clearance and be the sole UK national, with ITIL or managed service experience preferred. The position is based in Manchester, supporting a secure, public-sector environment with hybrid working arrangements. Strong analytical skills and technical expertise are essential for success in this critical role.
