Full Stack Developer

A full stack developer with a UX focus is required within the Web and Digital team at the University of Birmingham. The role involves developing secure, accessible and user-friendly digital products across front-end and back-end technologies, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate user needs into reliable digital solutions. Responsibilities include participating in the entire software development lifecycle, such as development, testing, deployment and technical support with an emphasis on responsiveness and accessibility. Candidates should possess relevant computing qualifications or practical experience, alongside understanding of web technologies, APIs and databases. Experience with tools like Git, React, TypeScript, .NET, SQL, Azure, Figma, or design systems is desirable. Effective communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential, along with an interest in user-centred design and accessibility.
