A freelance Fact-checking & OSINT journalist is sought to support the European Broadcasting Union by monitoring digital platforms such as X, Telegram, TikTok, and Meta to verify emerging news and viral content. The role involves collaborating with international partners on large-scale misinformation investigations and creating tutorials to enhance internal OSINT capabilities of public service media organisations. Responsibilities include tracking disinformation narratives, producing high-accuracy reports under tight deadlines, and sharing insights across a remote, multi-organisational environment. The ideal candidate will have expert proficiency in digital research tools, social monitoring software, and understanding of OPSEC and digital hygiene, with experience handling sensitive UGC. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of additional languages like French, German, or Arabic is advantageous.
