Le poste
A Db2 DBA in Birmingham supports the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise databases in mainframe (z/OS) environments. They are responsible for maintaining data integrity, monitoring performance, and optimising database usage through various technical processes. The role involves collaborating with leadership to develop database strategies, advising on data access, and resolving data conflicts effectively. Technical leadership responsibilities include monitoring database resources, recommending structural improvements, and supporting DBMS tools, upgrades, and new technology evaluations. The position requires independent work, escalation management, and participation in on-call support. Ideal candidates will possess strong experience with Db2 on z/OS and data security, with skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and stakeholder communication.
