On-site Interpreter

On-site Interpreter (Independent Contractor) facilitates clear communication between English speakers and individuals using target languages across education, medical, legal, and community environments. Responsibilities include delivering accurate interpretation, following established protocols and ethics, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism, and continuously expanding subject-matter vocabulary. You will interact with patients, clients, healthcare providers, and other staff, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, neutrality, and cultural competence. The role requires punctuality, reliability, and adaptability to per diem assignments, with strong listening and note-taking abilities and adherence to HIPAA and related confidentiality regulations. Proficiency in English plus at least one additional language is required, with a preference for candidates who have completed a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training.
