Electrician - Public Works (South Pasadena, CA)

Under general supervision, perform skilled maintenance, repair, and installation of street lighting, building electrical, and control systems across water pumping facilities.
Troubleshoot electrical equipment, test circuits, read wiring diagrams, and repair or replace wiring, panels, ballasts, transformers, and fuses.
Maintain lighting in parks, parking lots, and city buildings; install and replace computer cabling; service HVAC electrical components and water storage systems.
Operate and maintain electrical controls in pumping facilities; repair control panels and assist other divisions as needed (e.g., banners, trees).
Requirements include three years of electrical maintenance experience (street lighting or related systems), or completion of an electrician program, CA certification, or journeyman status.
Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license, participate in standby rotations, respond within 45 minutes to emergencies, and perform physically demanding work up to 50 lbs and at heights up to 50 feet.
