A Mechanical Manager in Southampton is responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance, repair, fabrication, installation, and modification projects within marine and heavy engineering environments. The role involves leading and developing a mechanical team across workshop, site, and project activities, while ensuring work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The manager will prepare estimates, plan operations, coordinate projects, and develop client relationships to support business growth. Strong technical knowledge, team leadership, and operational planning skills are essential, along with experience in marine or heavy engineering sectors. Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation, budget monitoring, and team mentoring is required. Full UK driving licence is necessary for this role.
