De functie
The Northampton Chronicle and Echo is seeking a skilled courtroom journalist to report on Crown and Magistrates’ Courts in Northampton. The ideal candidate will be a senior reporter or a talented trainee with a minimum typing speed of 100wpm shorthand and must be able to share work samples demonstrating their reporting abilities. Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of criminal, civil, and family law, along with knowledge of legal procedures and court reporting techniques. They will be responsible for providing accurate and timely coverage of court cases, contributing multimedia content, and maintaining high journalistic standards. Proficiency with digital tools, legal terminology, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role.
