A chemical process engineer in Grangemouth provides technical support to production teams, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. They monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues, and support plant start-ups, shutdowns, and transitions. The role involves identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and product yield, as well as leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Candidates are expected to have experience in chemical manufacturing, process industries, and knowledge of unit operations such as distillation and crystallisation. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems are essential. A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering along with fluent English is required for this role.
