De functie
Lead innovative research in database systems, with emphasis on query optimization, indexing methods, storage engines, and performance tuning.
Design, prototype, and empirically evaluate novel architectures that leverage SIMD parallelism, GPU acceleration, and multicore processing.
Collaborate with Engineering to translate research into practical features for commercial products.
Publish influential work in top conferences and journals (e.g., VLDB, SIGMOD).
Build and mentor a Database Systems research group targeting 2-3 researchers within 1-2 years.
Engage with stakeholders across Product and Engineering to align research with roadmaps and deliver measurable impact.
