De functie
A speciality doctor provides medical care to adults with complex mental health issues within a rehabilitation unit. They work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists and participate in creating tailored treatment plans. The role involves conducting assessments, reviewing patients' needs, and ensuring patient-centred, effective care compliance with mental health legislation. Candidates must have an MBBS or equivalent medical degree, full GMC registration, and completed specialty training in psychiatry or a related field. Experience with personality disorders and comorbid conditions is desirable, with excellent communication and team skills expected. The position involves maintaining accurate records and engaging in service improvements within a therapeutic environment.
