De functie
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Python with async patterns and message queuing, as well as developing APIs for real-time data processing to support AI safety monitoring. The engineer will work on building scalable data pipelines, operating services on AWS, and contribute to frontend work using modern JavaScript frameworks. Collaboration with AI researchers to implement experimental safety methodologies is essential, alongside maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling. Candidates should have proven Python experience, familiarity with ML/LLM systems, and hands-on AWS skills, with a track record of rapidly shipping features. Preferred skills include experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and React, as well as background in enterprise software. This environment values autonomous engineers who prioritise rapid delivery without unnecessary planning or documentation.
