De functie
Provide legal counsel and guidance to a public transportation agency, ensuring compliance with statutes, regulations, and contracts.
Research complex legal questions, draft opinions, contracts, leases, and other documents, and review materials for accuracy.
Monitor and participate in litigation, oversee hearings, and advocate the agency's interests with other entities and government agencies.
Advise management on policy interpretation, risk assessment, and the most advantageous legal course based on statutes and case law.
Maintain a J.D. and Texas license to practice law with at least three years of experience in business, tort, public law, or equivalent.
Demonstrate integrity, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while upholding safety, compliance, and attendance requirements.
