Senior Scientist, Applied Machine Learning and Generative AI, Pharma R&D

The Senior Scientist will perform advanced computational analyses and develop algorithms and agent-based tools to advance drug R&D within a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes applied machine learning and generative AI, including building and deploying LLM-driven agent architectures and foundation models in life sciences. You will work with large multimodal datasets (epidemiological, clinical, genomic, transcriptomic, and pathology imaging data) and drive continual improvements to AI-powered capabilities that support R&D workflows. Collaborate with internal Research, Engineering, and Data Science teams, and co-develop solutions with pharma partner science and clinical teams. You will communicate complex results to diverse stakeholders, mentor colleagues in AI methods, and stay up to date with industry trends. Requires PhD (or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience) and hands-on experience with AI agent-based workflows, prompt engineering, RAG, and tool use; proficiency in Python, R, SQL; experience with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, and DSPy; knowledge of clinical trial or real-world data and emerging RWE methodologies. A track record of peer-reviewed publications is desirable.
