De functie
The Pendine Young Musician of Wales competition invites talented young musicians in Wales to showcase their abilities at the North Wales International Music Festival in Manchester. Participants aged under 21 can submit audio or video recordings via the festival's website, with the chance to advance to semi-finals and finals held during the festival. The event offers cash prizes, a trophy, and the opportunity to perform live on BBC Radio Cymru, judged by renowned professionals from the music industry. The competition encourages young instrumentalists and vocalists, either born in Wales or Welsh nationals abroad, to participate. Organised by arts.wales, the event aims to promote emerging talent and support aspiring musicians’ careers with public exposure and prestigious awards.
