The role
The Legal Counsel position is based in Milton Keynes and involves providing expert legal guidance on outsourcing, digital, and technology contracts within the Digital, Technology & Operations Legal team. The role requires drafting, negotiating, and advising on agreements such as cloud, software licenses, and services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations including financial services outsourcing regimes. It involves working closely with senior business stakeholders to support innovation projects like AI and payment functionalities, delivering clear legal advice, and improving legal processes through training and templates. Candidates should possess strong expertise in technology and outsourcing law, along with excellent stakeholder management skills and knowledge of financial regulation impacting outsourcing. Experience with managing multiple legal matters and project deadlines is highly desirable. The position offers a hybrid working pattern, with flexibility regarding location and working hours, in a supportive environment focused on diversity and inclusion.
