The role
Responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure and devices across correctional facilities, including power, lighting, control, and distribution up to 600 volts.
Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and diagnostics; maintain logs and equipment records per department guidelines.
Install, alter, repair, or replace electrical systems such as motors, transformers, circuit breaker panels, and related distribution components.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, tool safety, and security procedures; plan and organize work and requisition parts.
Prepare reports, supervise inmates when appropriate, and participate in departmental training and performance documentation.
This is a statewide, on-site position; remote work is not available and duties require reporting to the assigned FDC office.
