The role
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high voltage electrical systems (600V to 500kV) in utility, substation, power plant, and industrial environments.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to install cables, conductors, breakers, and transformers.
Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and protection and control systems.
Apply grounding and bonding practices; work around live equipment while adhering to lockout/tagout and arc flash safety protocols.
Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and engineers to ensure work meets specifications, safety standards, and project schedules; document quality and safety records.
Train and mentor apprentices; adapt to fast-paced field conditions with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
