The role
Two cook positions are available in Belfast, requiring preparation and supervision of meals in a residential setting. The role involves planning, preparing, and cooking meals, with responsibilities extending to supervising kitchen operations. Candidates should possess an NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Catering & Hospitality or have at least 2 years' experience in a similar environment. A Basic Food Hygiene certificate and knowledge of older people's diets and menu planning are beneficial, but training can be provided. Effective communication in English with clients is essential, along with compassion and empathy for working with vulnerable individuals.
