Principal / Lead Networks Systems Engineer – Southampton

A Networks Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting secure IP networks on naval platforms, supporting all phases of systems development. They develop and verify network architectures, support testing and fault resolution, and produce documentation for system verification and user guidance. The role involves working with network test equipment, COTS hardware and software, and virtual environments, often in demanding naval environments. Candidates should have a strong understanding of networking protocols, configurations, and security, with experience in Cisco equipment, Windows server, and related tools. The role offers opportunities to progress towards Design Authority status, working in an integrated team environment while often working from home and on site.
