The role

The role involves leading a small team of data scientists and contributing to the design, development, and optimisation of machine learning models focused on financial crime detection, particularly AML and crypto risks. The successful candidate will define the technical roadmap, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and ensure high standards in model quality, documentation, and governance. They must have hands-on experience in data science related to financial crime, along with programming proficiency in Python and large-scale data handling capabilities. This position requires exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to diverse audiences across a hybrid work environment. Candidates should hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience, with preferred experience in financial services or emerging payments risk systems.
