The role
Lead or Senior Mechanical System Design Engineer responsible for facility-level mechanical systems including utility, plumbing, and HVAC design for manufacturing environments.
Develop calculations and layouts for high- and low-pressure water, steam/condensate, chilled water, heating, and compressed air systems.
Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Revit models of utility, plumbing, process piping, and HVAC systems.
Mentor and lead the mechanical design team, ensuring on-time delivery within budgets.
Conduct field surveys and information gathering; collaborate with customers, vendors, and engineering colleagues (travel 15-20%).
Ensure adherence to ASME codes and USDA/FDA/OSHA standards; maintain strong attention to detail and high-quality documentation.
