The role
Skovgaard Solutions is seeking a backend developer to take ownership of server-side architecture, designing scalable and secure backend services and data infrastructure. The role involves leading end-to-end development from API design to deployment and monitoring, writing clean, testable code, and participating in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards. Candidates should possess experience with scalable server-side systems and proficiency in technologies such as Python, Node.js, Java, C#, or Go, along with knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and CI/CD pipelines is essential, as well as strong communication skills for technical discussions and documentation. The position promotes a pragmatic mindset, balancing high-scale architecture with quick delivery of reliable MVPs, within a hybrid remote setting in Sheffield.
