The role
An Assistant Psychologist position is available within the Clinical Health Psychology Services at Sunderland Royal Hospital. The role involves supporting clinical activity, audit, and research within the Bariatric Psychology Service, working independently under supervision from a qualified HCPC registered Psychologist. The post holder will assist in delivering psychological assessments and interventions, including group and individual work, with a focus on physical health conditions. Relevant skills include effective communication, research evaluation, and the ability to work in emotionally sensitive environments using Microsoft Office and statistical software. Candidates should possess a psychology degree with postgraduate training and experience working with mental health or physical health conditions.
