The role
Provide legal counsel and strategic support to the Charter Authorizing function on applications, amendments, renewals, and related regulatory matters.
Advise on rulemaking, statutory interpretation, and review of charter contracts and CSP grants.
Lead or participate in charter-related litigation and coordinate administrative hearings before SOAH under the Administrative Procedures Act.
Research and interpret laws, draft regulatory language, and support investigations, audits, and accountability activities.
Collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders, manage multiple complex matters, and deliver high-quality written and oral advocacy.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and a service-oriented approach while upholding public accountability.
