The role
A senior estimator specialising in electrical, mechanical and MEP disciplines assesses project costs, develops estimation strategies and leads multidisciplinary teams. They prepare detailed cost estimates, ensure compliance with industry standards and communicate findings to stakeholders. The role demands technical expertise in cost classification, risk analysis and cost modelling across various sectors including energy and defence. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor quotes, supporting project assurance and mentoring junior estimators. A comprehensive understanding of cost breakdown and work breakdown structures is essential, alongside stakeholder management skills.
