The role
A Shuttering Joiner is responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures in various construction projects. They read and interpret construction drawings, assemble formwork using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, and ensure proper alignment and stability during concrete pouring. The role includes measuring, cutting, and repairing formwork, collaborating with other trades, and maintaining safety standards through routine inspections. Candidates should have proven experience in formwork or carpentry roles, strong knowledge of welding and tools, and the ability to interpret technical plans. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights, along with relevant safety certifications, are essential. The position involves working on-site in Durham for approximately nine weeks, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and safety.
